The Science Museum turned out to be a very appropriate venue to host our special preview screening of The End of the Line on Monday night.
On a balmy summer evening well over 350 guests filled the spectacular IMAX cinema to see the film.
After a reception surrounded by replicas of early planes, jet turbine engines and other flying machines a glittering array of people sat down.
Among the guests were Stephen Fry, Geri Halliwell, Donna Air and Sarah Brown, the Prime Minster’s wife.
Rupert Murray, the film’s director, introduced the evening with a brief speech of support from Mark Price, the Managing Director of Waitrose.
It was all very exciting for those of us whose lives have been dominated by the fish film - in my case for the last three years.
For many of the cast and crew and their families it was the first time they had seen the finished film that they have all given so much of their time to making. I don’t think they were disappointed.
The film looked fantastic on the big screen and nearly half the audience stayed on for the Q and A.
The buzz about the film is well and truly out today. Maybe there is some hope for our oceans.
Claire Lewis is Producer of The End of the Line
